Family Counseling
Family therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthier relationships within the family system.
Through a collaborative and compassionate process, I work with families facing a wide range of challenges. By integrating evidence-based approaches such as systemic family therapy, structural and Bowenian methods, and emotionally focused therapy, I aim to help families understand and address underlying patterns that contribute to dysfunction; while exploring safe, relational ways to have their needs met. With a trauma-informed lens, family members often gain clarity and insight, improving their abilities to stay present, mindful, and connected.
Whether the goal is to strengthen bonds, support a member with a mental health issue, or navigate a crisis, family therapy can provide the guidance needed to promote healing and growth.

With 30 years of experience as a mental health provider, I approach family therapy from a holistic perspective, recognizing that each family is unique and influenced by a complex interplay of dynamics. Even when families are on crisis or conflict, it is my experience that people are seeking balance and connection. Helping family members meet these needs can help to improve bonds and build resilience.
