Linda has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a variety of clinical and residential settings for more than 25 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Coe College, and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa. Linda shows empathy, respect, and expertise in her work with her clients, while utilizing a blend of several therapeutic approaches. She has received extensive training in many areas of special interest, including PTSD, sexual and physical trauma, depression, anxiety, sexuality, gender identity, relationship problems, aging, hospice, grief, and life-span transitions.
Linda partners with her clients to identify and activate their strengths as they learn to effectively deal with life’s many challenges, achieve stress reduction, and heal from emotional and psychological pain. She works with individuals and couples, offering a humanistic and empowering style of therapy. With compassion and appreciation for her clients’ individual differences, personal values, and expressed needs, she utilizes an integrative approach, blending Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy into an individualized, supportive, and interpersonal plan of care.
